* Direct factor Xa anticoagulant for atherothrombotic prevention (Bayer).

1. Composition

Active substance: Rivaroxaban (micronized) 2.5mg. Excipients: Microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate.

2. Indications

Prevention of atherothrombotic events in adult patients after acute coronary syndrome (ACS) or coronary/peripheral artery disease (CAD/PAD) co-administered with ASA.

3. Dosage and Administration

Recommended dose is 1 tablet 2.5mg twice daily, with or without food, swallowed whole with water.

4. Contraindications

Active clinically significant bleeding, severe hepatic impairment associated with coagulopathy, pregnancy, breastfeeding, age under 18 years.

5. Side Effects

Common: bleeding complications (hematoma, epistaxis, GI hemorrhage), anemia, nausea, dizziness.

6. Storage Conditions

Store below 30°C out of reach of children.
