* Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant (Help S.A., Greece). Prescription only.

1. Composition

Active substance: fluoxetine hydrochloride equivalent to 20 mg fluoxetine per capsule. Excipients: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, magnesium stearate.

2. Indications

Major depressive episodes, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bulimia nervosa as an adjunct to psychotherapy.

3. Dosage and Administration

Oral administration once daily in the morning, with or without food. Recommended starting dose is 20 mg/day. Maintenance dosing adjusted by physician.

4. Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to fluoxetine, concomitant use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), severe liver/kidney impairment, pregnancy, lactation.

5. Side Effects and Storage

Nausea, insomnia, fatigue, headache, decreased appetite. Store below +25°C in dry place out of reach of children.
